Saltaire is the smaller of two incorporated villages that tries through it's governing laws to maintain a low key atmosphere of families with strict limits of rentals to unrelated people. Houses are generally larger. There are some wonderful examples of older cedar shingled beach houses on the bayside. Saltaire has two churches. There are no restaurants or bars.
