John Mansueto is a freelance illustrator and landscape artist residing in
the Hamlet of Islip, located on the south shore of Long Island.
His Education includes four years of training in painting and illustration
at Parsons School of Design in New York City. He graduated in 1983 with a
Bachelors of Fine Art.
His interest in landscape painting, particularly those areas around Fire
Island, would lead him to becoming the staff artist at the Fire Island
Tide Newspaper in 1990.
Armed with a good knowledge of Fire Island, having grown up on the south
shore (I always learn something new about the place) and a painting
technique that he describes as "the impression of detail", John
has created many landscapes, full color cover art, and detailed pen &
ink drawings for the Fire Island Tide newspaper.
